GUILLAUME MOSCHINI French, b. 1970
Born in Nîmes in 1970. He lives and works in Nîmes.
Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Nîmes under the influence of Claude Viallat and Patrick Saytour, Guillaume Moschini has developed a body of work centered on painting for over twenty years. He is represented by the Galerie Oniris, Galerie Eric Linard, and the Seohwa Gallery in Korea, participating in prestigious international art fairs.
His work is characterized by spontaneous gestures and a fluid material, blending ink, acrylic, and rubbing alcohol. He uses raw canvas, allowing the paint to blend with the support. His approach, filled with tension and balance between shapes and colors, seeks to capture emotion and the ephemeral rather than beauty. Influenced by Giorgio Griffa, Morris Louis, Kenneth Noland, and Helen Frankenthaler, he constantly explores the relationship between color and the pictorial space. His research is also a reflection on the creative process, where the unexpected takes a central role. Through his work, Moschini questions the viewer’s perception and the dynamic of the ever-evolving artwork.
