JEAN-PAUL AGOSTI Français, b. 1948
Born in Paris in 1948. He lives and works in Paris.
Agosti Facchetti, the eldest son of Paul and Jeanne Facchetti, showed his artistic calling from an early age and entered the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he studied under painter André Chastel. At the same time, he collaborated with his father at their family gallery. In the 1970s, he frequented Parisian artist circles, meeting figures such as Philippe Starck and Gérard Garouste. In 1974, he fully dedicated himself to painting, and the family gallery relocated to Rue des Saints-Pères, where Carlo Scarpa redesigned the space.
The artist explores the architecture of the garden and the limits of space, themes nurtured by his childhood in Brittany. In 1975, he held his first solo exhibition at the Galerie Raeber in Lucerne. His work has been exhibited in several galleries in France and abroad and is held in various public and private collections. Agosti has also collaborated with architects and designers on large-scale projects.
His artistic approach, blending abstraction and reflection on space, remains deeply influenced by his view of nature and the environments around him.

The artists on show invite visitors to explore the individual and the collective. Jean-Paul Agosti, Rashid Al Khalifa, Olivia Cognet, Soo Kyoung Lee, Kahina Loumi, Alice Magne and Guillaume Moschini question what links different practices and what transcends individual subjectivity to reach a collective memory. Their research focuses on light, color and texture. Visitors are invited to explore what emerges from a work, what the artist chooses to reveal, hide or transform.
