DANY ALBIACH French, 1999

Dany Albiach is a visual artist trained at Villa Arson in Nice,
where he obtained a DNA and then a DNSEP with honors. His time
at this institution shaped a practice attentive to images, their
materiality, and the way they construct narratives.
His work revolves around the dialogue between different
temporalities. He draws as much from old family archives as he does from images taken during his
contemporary wanderings, composing silent scenographies
where intimate memory and the present meet.
Dany Albiach has developed a multifaceted practice combining drawing,
photography, assemblage, and silkscreen printing—sometimes on wood—
which allows him to explore the notions of traces, survival, and
reactivation of the past. His residencies, notably in Issoudun
in 2025, feed into this research.
His work has been presented in several exhibitions, including Une nouvelle gé-
nération du dessin (2024-2025) and Yours Truly at the Villa Arson (2025-2026).
Through a sensitive and fragmentary approach, he offers images that oscillate
between documentary and fiction, inviting us to rethink the continuity of
time.
